The tools that we use get us where we want to go. I recently joined Twitter http://www.twitter.com/, which is a social networking site. One of the huge benefits that I am experiencing from this site is the links that everyone is sharing. I am seeing great links in many areas of interest - including Tarot and writing. I would like to share some of the writing links that I have been collecting (they are addictive!).
http://www.econsultancy.com/blog/3407-10-ways-to-measure-social-media-success While not directly connected to writing, networking is important to getting published and making sales.
http://www.mashable.com/2009/03/01/publish-book/ Interesting article on different self-publishing venues.
http://www.fictionmatters.com/2009/03/10/talking-word-count-and-perfect-length/ Important article on acceptable words counts for publication.
http://www.pbackwriter.blogspot.com/2009/03/publishing-911.html This is one of the funniest articles that I have ever read - pseudo 911 calls placed by authors, reviewers, and readers.
I hope that you enjoy today's offerings.

Chinese New Year
Today is the Chinese New Year's, representing the Year of the Ox. The qualities that the Ox brings to the year 2009 are those of dependability, loyalty, patience, ambition, and the ability to work hard. Material things will be in focus for the coming year.
Placing this intent and focus on the general qualities of growth and expansion, 2009 will be a year that helps each of us set a good foundation for the years to come.
I drew one card from the Tarot to see what this New Year means for me. I drew the card of the Lovers. Coming to know myself, and bringing a sense of balance to my life will be part of this comng year.

The Obama Presidency
I was thrilled to find two excellent links this am - links that will help me to keep myself updated on what is real, and what is not, in politics and in the U.S. recovery efforts.
This link is to the White House page - which contains, amongst other things, a video of the President's weekly address - http://whitehouse.gov/.
This link is for a page, in its infancy stages, where the public will be a ble to see exactly how and where recovery money is being spent - http://www.recovery.gov.
Enjoy!

Tarot In Review
I am so excited - I have my new book - "Tarot In Review" - up on Lulu.com! It is a compilation of Tarot book and deck reviews that I have done over the past several years. While they are free over the Internet, I thought that it would be nice to have them all in one place for comparison purposes.
The book is 8 1/2" by 11", softcover, 322 pages, text only. If a reader is interested in a deck because of my review, scans of most decks are readily found on the Internet.
The book is broken down into three categories: Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced, with each category further broken down into deck and book themes.

Content Writing
This blog is meant to cover my activity as an author, but I never thought that I would be writing about the content work that I am doing. It has, however, been interesting. I just finished a Tarot quiz, and am working on a Psychic glossary. Both of these projects are for an upcoming Internet site.
It is interesting to see how we each progress, what comes out way, and what holds our interest. I just finished reviewing a book called "Comfort and Joy", and am so impressed with it that I am going to include it on my list of references for personal empowerment. It is all about finding comfort in the small things of life that we do on a daily basis.
My project for today - try and get a good start on an article on the Tarot Aces that was due two weeks ago!
Let us each recognize the tune that we are walking to.
Blessings,
Bonnie

New Site ... eBook Coming Soon!
I am happy to anounce that the New Year see's BonnieCehovet.com with a new host, a new look to the site, and an eBook that is well on its way!
My first eBook (I plan to do several) will address female empowerment ... what gives us a solid foundation for making strong life decisions, forming goals, and taking action. I will be presenting diverse tools of empowerment, such as dreamwork, oracles, meditation, and journaling, that allow us to move beyond the boundries that we have placed around ourselves, and create a more "authentic" life.
As a gift of thanks for purchasing my eBook, site visitors will also receive a downloadable eBook on creating affirmations, and a second downloadable eBook on the art of happiness, and what we can do to draw happiness to us.
More on this project soon!
Blessings,
Bonnie

Opportunity
I recently had an opportunity fall right into my lap ... a notice on one of my writer's groups about a contest in Texas, with a category that fits my writing ... Cozy Mystery. Only the first chapter needs to be submitted, and I have until January 31st, 2008 to submit. At the very least, I will get professional feedback on my work, which will be greatly appreciated. (I have yet to be published in this field.)
Theo and company will be off and running quite soon!
